This week, we focused on Character Design, specifically their ancestry and their motivations.

Our protagonist, now named "Yaya" is not a normal 10 year old girl. Her mom, who has passed, was actually a powerful priestess for a magical civilization, the Golden City, that lives only in old myth. She was a magical creature who fell in love with Yaya's father and assumed human form to be with him. Yaya is half of her bloodline, and the necklace her mother gave her was a vessel for her power. Her daughter now has the potential to be the next great Priestess of the Feathered Serpent, but there are those who covet that power, and some of them, are closer to Yaya than she'd think. Now, Yaya, whose true name is Yaretzi, will learn not just about her mother, but of the truth behind herself and the great power bestowed upon her.
